The article is dedicated to the analysis of the philosophical-theological synthesis in the works of the Russian thinker Sergey Horujy. Based on the Orthodox theology and the philosophy of Gregory Palamas, Horujy develops a concept of synergetic anthropology, in which human development is viewed through the lens of the interaction of created and uncreated energies. The article aims to present the main ideas of Horujy in the context of two mystical traditions: Hesychasm in Eastern Christianity and Sufism in Islam. The goal of the research is to present the main ideas of Horujy in the context of these mystical traditions to reveal possible anthropological perspectives. The author uses a hermeneutic approach to investigate ontological and ontic boundaries of human existence, as well as the virtual space in which a person can strive for self-realization. The work includes critical comments and offers new perspectives on anthropological development. Horujy’s approach to describing human reality through the category of energization is considered a significant departure from contemporary philosophical trends. The results of the research reveal the multifaceted nature of human development and provide a deep analysis of the anthropological goal and striving that can lead to various outcomes on anthropological development. The main conclusion is that complete and authentic human development is possible through the union of created human energies with uncreated divine energies, which represents an ontological transformation and an ascent to the pinnacle of human potential. Unlike other works on the topic, this article combines the philosophical-theological synthesis with a comparative analysis of Hesychasm and Sufism, as well as historical, critical, and anthropological analysis.
