Today, we received a letter confirming the inclusion of the academic journal “The Quarterly Journal of St. Philaret’s Institute” in the international Scopus database.

For the Journal’s editorial team and the Institute’s community, this is not just another scientometric milestone but also a significant testament to the quality of the articles published in our Journal and our collective work.

The Journal publishes articles by Russian and international authors in the fields of Christian Dogmatics, Ecclesiology, Missiology, Catechetics, Church History, Liturgics, Patristics, and other fields of Theology. It also features materials from roundtables, seminars, academic discussions, new sources and documents, reviews, and critiques. The Journal’s goal is to foster the continuity and distinctiveness of Russian theological thought and its development within the context of modern scholarship in the humanities.

The future “St. Philaret’s Institute Quarter Journal” was launched in 2007, initiated and supported by the Association of Alumni and Students of SFI. Originally it was called “The Light of Christ Enlightens All: The Almanac of St. Philaret's Orthodox Christian Institute” and featured works by faculty and students. Under this title, it was first included in the list of peer-reviewed journals recognized by the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) for Theology and began indexing in several other academic databases. Since then, our Journal has grown significantly in all respects, but the editorial team’s commitment to combining the best achievements in Theology and other fields of secular scholarship on its pages has remains unchanged.

Congratulations to our Editor-in-Chief, Fr Georgij Kochetkov, his steadfast deputy Yulia Balakshina, the editorial staff, the editorial board and council, our authors, reviewers, and everyone involved!
