The Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church has completed its inspection of St. Philaret Institute (SFI)
From March 3 to 5, 2026, the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church conducted an inspection at St. Philaret Institute.
The inspection team was led by Archpriest Valentin Vasechko, Deputy Chairman of the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church and First Vice-Rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Institute for Post-Graduate Studies. The group also included the following Educational Committee staff members:
- Deacon Pyotr Malevich, Assistant to the Chairman’s Office;
- Oleg Anatolyevich Sukhanov, Specialist in the Department for Work with Students and Alumni;
- Natalya Valeryevna Leontyeva, Head of the Control and Analytical Service for Choir Director and Icon Painting Education;
- Nataliya Sergeevna Semyonova, Head of the Legal Department.
The commission met with the leadership of St. Philaret Institute, attended classes for full-time Theology Faculty bachelor’s and master’s students, carried out checks and assessments of students’ residual knowledge, and reviewed SFI’s material and technical facilities, its regulatory and educational-methodological documentation, departmental work, and the organization and support for academic, educational, and formative processes.
