Pilgrims from St Philaret’s Institute Visited Holy Etchmiadzin

The group headed by Rector Fr. Georgy Kochetkov was received by Archbishop Nathan (Hovhannisyan), Chairperson of the Department of External Church Relations of theArmenianApostolicChurch.

‘I am very happy to see here His Reverence Rector, Vice-Rectors, professors and students of your Institute,’ said Archbishop Nathan. ‘We are always glad when our brothers and sisters Christians, kindred souls, come to Holy Etchmiadzin.’

Archbishop Nathan told pilgrims about the life of the church in contemporaryArmeniaand answered their questions. In his turn, Fr. Georgy presented the history and activities of the Transfiguration Brotherhood and St Philaret’s Institute.

The pilgrims also met with Fr. Asoghik Karapetyan, Director of the museums and archives of Etchmiadzin, and visited museums of the capital city.

The visit to Etchmiadzin was a part of the pilgrimage of the Institute’s and the Brotherhood’s representatives to Armenia.
