Alexei Alexandrovich has been a constant participant in SFI’s “Physics and Theology” Symposia since 2013. In June 2017 the scholar joined the SFI Board of Trustees.

Alexei Starobinsky is the head scientist at the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN), was named a RAN Scholar in 2011, and is a member of the the Leopoldina (German National Academy of Sciences). On the 2nd of May 2017, he was also elected a foreign member of the US Academy of Sciences.
